Our Founder

My name is Jacobus Theart. I obtained my National Diploma in Civil Engineering in 2009. My career in the construction industry began in 2008 when I joined WBHO Construction—one of the largest construction companies in South Africa. I worked there until 2014, contributing to several high-profile projects including the Greenpoint Stadium, a Valpré bottling plant, a SAB brewery, and the Christiaan Barnard Netcare Hospital.

In 2014, I became an active partner in a steel manufacturing company. After five years, we successfully sold the business, which allowed me to return to my true passion—construction. From 2019 to 2025, I worked with Afriline Civils, where I managed projects for major clients such as Anglo American, Vedanta Zinc International, local municipalities, and private sector clients.

With extensive experience across all phases of construction, I launched JXT Construction Projects with a clear goal in mind: to be that builder—one that both past and potential clients trust, respect, and want to do business with.
